 A BRIEF BACKGROUND ...
Shane became a member of the National Fraternity of Student Musicians at the age of twelve and competed briefly in the National Piano Playing Auditions. He recorded his first album in 1999 and has been writing and recording since. The SEASONS OF LIFE® piano instrumental music series was the culmination of eight years work. It is comprised of all original pieces written, performed and produced by Shane.

I have a story not much unlike everyone else's. The difficult circumstances of life created challenges that I was not prepared to deal with and I lost my way. There was a period of my life when I lived only for myself, but God found me and brought me back to Him. My music is a reflection of that journey. My relationship with Him now defines everything I am and everything I aspire to be. The SEASONS OF LIFE® series reflects all of the passion, pain, hope, and redemption I experienced on my journey back to God. It is the most honest and transparent expression of emotion I could compose.
My single purpose in writing music has always been to produce something that touches the lives of others. I remember at 12 years of age hearing the song 'Chariots of Fire' by Vangelis. I remember how it moved me inside. That was the kind of music I wanted to write. I wanted to stir people's hearts like that song stirred mine. But even more than that, I wanted to live a life as honorable and courageous as the the main character of that movie. I wanted to live a life with no regrets, with meaning and purpose, and I wanted to influence others to do the same through my music.
I've never had a specific formula when writing. I simply write what I feel. My music is a journal of my experiences and emotions. I don't really set out to write anything in particular, I just let the music come to me and when it does, I compose and record it. At 28 I recorded my first album 'Eyes of Innocence' which was remastered and is now the Passion CD in the SEASONS OF LIFE® series. It was the first time I put my life and my heart on display for others and the impact it had was overwhelming. I hope that you can identify with my music in the same way. I hope it captures the imagination of your heart and inspires courage; courage to be who you really are; courage to live your life to the fullest.
WHAT'S NEXT ...
I'm currently finishing up a Christmas album I've been working on this year. It has 15 classic Christian Christmas carols. The final composition is a deep, passionate, intense expression of instrumental music. I plan to release this project next year.
